The coastal path from the harbour to Coral Bay, the Akamas trails and the Paphos Marathon in March make this a running town, and the problems runners bring me are the classic ones: calves and Achilles that tighten, plantar fascia that bites in the morning, an ITB that flares at 8 km, and glutes that switched off years ago.

“Very professional and effective massage, can really tell Christian is very experienced and understands exactly where to apply pressure and for how long. One of the best massage experiences I’ve had and I’m feeling fantastic after it. Highly recommend Christian!”
“We needed a sports injury specialist at short notice whilst on holiday in Paphos. I messaged in the morning and he came to our villa same day with all the equipment, bed etc and did an excellent job. Great service, paid via Apple Pay too, even easier!”
“I had a 90 minute massage from Christian, and it was absolutely amazing. We really dug deep resolving many muscle knots that has been with me for a long time. If you’re in Paphos and want a massage, I highly recommend!”

Been treated? Leave a reviewRunning is repetitive and one-dimensional; the fix is usually two things — release what is overloaded and wake up what is not working — and I do the first at your home and give you the second to take away.
Where it hurts
The soleus and gastrocnemius absorb every stride; when they lose length the Achilles takes the load.
Treatment: Sports Massage →Tight calves and a stiff big toe overload the fascia under the foot — worst first thing in the morning.
Treatment: Myofascial Release →A weak glute med lets the hip drop and the ITB rubs; releasing the TFL and glutes and loading the glute med is the pattern.
Treatment: Deep Tissue →Sitting all day then running: short flexors and sleepy glutes push the load into the hamstrings and low back.
Treatment: Deep Tissue →Planning
Marathon and half builds: every 2–3 weeks through the block, deeper early, lighter as the race nears.
Recurring niggles: 2–3 sessions to clear the pattern plus the strength cue that stops it returning.
Trail and long-run weekends: recovery within 48 hours.
Before an event
Before a race: a light session 2–4 days out; nothing deep in race week.
After an event
After a race: 24–72 hours later.
Peak running season is October–April; the Paphos Marathon is in March.
