How should clients prepare for sessions, and what can they expect during the recovery period afterward? Pre-treatment preparation includes adequate hydration (increased water intake 24-48 hours before), avoiding alcohol or anti-inflammatory medications that might mask tissue response, and wearing comfortable clothing that allows access to treatment areas. Post-treatment, expect some muscle soreness similar to workout recovery—this indicates therapeutic tissue changes are occurring. Increased water intake helps flush metabolic byproducts released during fascial restructuring, and gentle movement maintains mobility gains achieved during treatment. Most clients can resume normal activities immediately, though intensive exercise should be avoided for 24 hours to allow tissue adaptation to occur optimally.
